TREND FORECASTING | PERSONAL STYLING
Exposition of my personal passion for fashion & style, the sources that inspire me and the trends I foresee for the Spring 2024 season.
Long Midi Skirts
Dress it up or down - For summer, outfitting I love pairing with a plain white tee and an oversized jacket with sneakers, loafers, or sandals. I feel this can look chic in many ways. You could even give off this look by wearing a tee or sweater over a long maxi dress and tucking in the top to accentuate the waist. This can definitely be explored and worn high or low waist. Interested to see how it evolves from summer to fall outfitting and how to realistically wear in cold weather situations while still looking chic. Pair with mid calf cowboy boots or platform boots with a sweater, blouse or tee.
Metallic Silver
Metallics aren't just for the holidays anymore, this fall they're coming in hot. Whether it's a small pop accessory dressed down with denim, or an entire shining look, you'll see this trend everywhere in the next coming months through the fall and winter. This cool accent is a fun way to bring brightness to any look even when it's morbidly cold outside.
Large Bags
While I will always love a mini bag, the 2000's big shoulder bag is back, oversized slouchy hobo style leather bags and shoulder tote bags. Although very practical, the look can be overdone or have too much going on if it's filled to the brim, spilling out with stuff that it becomes too difficult to actually carry. It’s more the look of a slouchy bag with nothing in it than it’s actual utility. Simpler is always better in this case - get one with a genuine leather or suede material and the bag does the work for you.
Exaggerated Sleeves
This accent has come and go in the last 5 years - Bell bottom sleeves with regular or cropped length tops exaggerates and naturally slims the arms. You can go even further and pair with high waisted bottoms to accentuate and conform the figure even more.
